It doesn’t even feel that bad. It doesn’t feel cold, but it’s become bearable. This helps my theory of whether I could make it in Vegas full time. Apparently you do acclimate to weather. I’m actually saying, “It’ll only be 94 today.” Maybe the heat’s just got to me.

Also, I read that a lot of the World Series of Poker dealers at Harrah’s are walking out on the job, leaving inexperienced replacements in their wake. Sounds like an opportunity.

Anyway, bump the probability of me going to Las Vegas to run out the clock as a dealer to 40 percent. Whether it’s snap (that is what they call blackjack), dice (craps) or poker (dunno what their slang is for that), I am sure there are plenty of spots available for a sap like me. Target date is winter 2009, because my gym membership runs out December 2008. There is no Bally Total Fitness in Las Vegas because they don’t want to confuse people. They are separate companies, despite both using the same script “B” in their logos.
