Today's featured shit

Driving in the commute. I’m leaving early today and by early, I mean 6:15. Because I am getting dinner with my aunt and uncle. I always tell people when they want to have dinner with me on a weeknight that’s 7:30 PM is a great time and the reason for that is because I don’t want to drive in traffic and after 7:00 PM the traffic is much better not only for few people trying to get home but now I have the beauty of the car pool lane to help me out. So a four lane freeway is now a six way freeway and so on. And I’m sure they appreciate it too, even if they don’t fully appreciate or understand what it is I’m trying to accomplish here. listen

San Jose sharks must help me so I need the Sharks to win because they provide an excellent reason to leave work early, to work from home, to do other things and granted it just means that I have to work twice as hard the following day, but there is still not substitute for that feeling you get of leaving work early. Or shutting the computer down at home a little bit early because you know you are going to go do something else, it is a strange thing, the opposite of credit cards. Where you borrow some money and you pay back more later and you feel bad about it, but when you leave work early, sure, you go back to work the next day for more time to make up for it, but you feel good about it as if you have somehow beat the system, even though really the system is still beating. listen
